The PVC Film Has A Molecular Orientation When It Is Stretched.
Jun 13, 2018

At many times the PVC film is a kind of high value material, in the cover film of the car; in the transparent plastic film of skin care products; in the fresh-keeping film used in our family. All of these have PVC components, so we can say that PVC is ubiquitous and has been integrated into our lives, helping us do some work inadvertently. And the current production of PVC transparent film needs a variety of processing to be able to enter the market, and one kind of processing is called the calendering. Here is to introduce the technology of this kind of calendering.

In fact, when the material passes through two rotating cylinders, the PVC film is subjected to a strong shear stress and tensile stress, and the PVC molecules will occur molecular orientation along the direction of the calendering, resulting in the anisotropy of the physical and mechanical properties of the film, which is the effect of the calendering. The stronger the calendering effect, the greater the shrinkage rate of the product during the two processing. It is due to heat or stress relaxation that the original oriented macromolecules revert to only the curling state.
